Global Release of Seoul Tourism Video “Feel Soul Good” Starring BTS’ Jin

Seoul has unveiled a new tourism campaign featuring Jin of the globally renowned BTS, who also serves as an Honorary Seoul Tourism Ambassador. The campaign, titled “Feel Soul Good,” launched on August 29, 2024, on the official VisitSeoul TV YouTube channel, aims to capture the heart and soul of Seoul through a series of short films.

The first film in the series, titled “LOVE, MY SOUL,” highlights Seoul’s romantic side, with Jin playing a vinyl record as the backdrop. The movie invites viewers on a journey through some of the city’s most beloved dating spots, including Ikseon-dong and Namsan Seoul Tower, painting a picture of Seoul as a city of love and connection. The film closes with the uplifting tagline, “Feel Soul Good,” encapsulating the essence of the campaign.

Following the release of “LOVE, MY SOUL,” two more films are set to debut, each focusing on different facets of Seoul. “INSPIRE, MY SOUL,” scheduled for release on September 5, will delve into the city’s unique cultural and inspirational elements, showcasing its vibrant fashion scene, mouth-watering culinary delights, and serene experiences like hiking and meditation. The final film, “FUN, MY SOUL,” premiering on September 12, will highlight new attractions such as SEOULDAL, a moon-shaped helium balloon ride, and various other activities that portray the lively and entertaining side of the city.

In addition to the films, the campaign includes interactive elements designed to engage a global audience. Viewers are encouraged to participate in an online event by leaving comments on the videos across Visit Seoul’s YouTube and social media channels. Participants will have the chance to win prizes, including a luxurious one-night stay at a five-star hotel and a gourmet dining experience at one of Seoul’s top restaurants.

The campaign also features two “Fake Out-of-Home” (FOOH) films and three short clips starring Jin, each highlighting different aspects of what makes Seoul a must-visit destination. These promotional films will be showcased on prominent outdoor media platforms in major global cities, including New York’s Times Square and Jakarta. Additionally, they will be broadcast on leading international networks such as the BBC, ensuring widespread exposure across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

A representative from the Seoul Tourism Organization commented on the campaign, stating, “Our goal is to elevate the ‘Seoul, My Soul’ slogan on a global scale. Through themes of LOVE, INSPIRE, and FUN, we aim to showcase the diverse appeal of Seoul to a worldwide audience.”

The campaign’s multimedia approach, blending video content with global advertising and interactive online events, reflects Seoul’s commitment to solidifying its status as a top travel destination. Whether it’s romance, inspiration, or entertainment, the “Feel Soul Good” campaign promises to present Seoul as a city with something for everyone, inviting travelers from around the world to experience the vibrant energy and rich culture that define Korea’s capital.
