Gregor had tickets for Morricone concert as part of Festival Ljubljana and he couldn’t go. So he passed tickets to me and Simon (63€). Even though I was at a similar concert back in 2008, I decided to go. With Uber, I arrived a few minutes before the concert began in Križanke. We were looking for our seats. Found them in the last row in the corner, good, it was not still raining. Worst view, but the sound was OK. The lady next to me took off her shoes and socks during the concert?

Music composed by the late Ennio Morricone was conducted by his son Andrea. The concert featured well-known orchestras RTV Slovenija Simfoničnim orkester and L’Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta. Also outstanding were singers from two choirs (Mešani pevski zbor Glasbene matice Ljubljana and Ljubljanski madrigalisti in solisti), as well as solists, including soprano Vittoriana de Amicis, harmonica player Luigi Mattacchione, and violinist Vincenzo Bolognese.

The program of the concert was divided into seven parts: Suite Untouchables, Dedicated to Giuseppe Tornatore, According to Pereira, Suite Leone, Scattered Leaves, Cinema 1 and Suite Mission. The concert lasted approximately 90 minutes. Andrea was quite energetic on stage. All of the timeless music performed with more than 100 people on stage left a good impression. Ecstasy of Gold was probably the most powerful and was performed twice. Quick stop at the Livingroom bar where Julie picked us up and drove home.
