Canada To Mexico RV Holidays
this was our {Fourth Stop} on our 1800 mile venture south, in our Recreational Vehicle. This exciting journey had us taking frequent stops in; Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and Mexico.
Morongo Casino Resort – Location
Easy Access off Interstate 10
The resort is ideally located off Interstate 10, between; Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California.
It’s about a 90 minute drive from LA & only 20 minutes away from Palm Springs. A perfect stop over for us, after leaving Bakersfield, California and taking a leisurely 3-4 hour drive to the resort.
This resort no longer offers free safe and secure overnight parking for self-contained recreational vehicles. We always enjoyed parking for the evening after a long days drive, and especially their dinner buffet.
It was an easy and relaxed 90 minute drive on to Palm Springs the next day.

It was perfect for any size RV, well illuminated, safe and secure. As a matter of fact, the security office was also located at the rear of the resort and just steps away from where you could park for the evening.

After a hard day’s drive and while en-route to your final destination, Morongo offers everything you would expect in a Las Vegas Style Casino Resort.
Their Free Overnight RV Parking was great, but I guess as is usually the case, it was abused by some. It was so nice to relax and enjoy the resorts facilities and without the worry of having to leave, to find a place to camp for the night.
New All You Can Eat Dining Experience
We always enjoyed a full meal in the Casino’s Main Buffet during our visits, when stopping for the night.
Morongo now has {The Marketplace}, which is an all-you-can-eat dining experience, offering 7 unique food stations to choose from. This venue was created with chef Viviani, which now something completely new in the form of buffet dining.
We always enjoyed a wonderful meal and at very reasonable prices, making it affordable for most anyone visiting. Afterwards, you can sit back and relax in the resorts lounges, enjoy live entertainment and/or or even try your luck in the main casino!
Replacing the Potrero Canyon Buffet at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, is the; Marketplace by Fabio Viviani.
Whatever your desire, you are sure to find it at Morongo.
Bowling – Shopping at Morongo Resort
For those who enjoy a game of bowling, well you are in luck!
The resort features; 24 lanes of bowling at amazing rates,
for your pleasure. They are always open into the late evening hours.
For those who love to shop and looking for outstanding bargains, the Desert Hills Premium Outlets and the Cabazon Outlets, are just down the road from the; Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.
Shop till you drop with more than 130 name-brand stores at Desert Hills Premium Outlets.
As well and located alongside is the Cabazon Outlets, featuring additional specialized shops. There are choices galore at this exciting destination, to suit most anyone’s desires.

After reviewing the resorts website, I did find this notice on their page. It appears they no longer allow overnight RV parking.
NOTE:
“As of April 21st, 2025 we will no longer allow overnight RV parking on property.”
Be sure to check with the resort directly, for any new updates regarding their overnight parking restrictions.
