The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) are excited to announce that the 11th Annual Destination Wedding Planners (DWP) Congress will take place in Aqaba, Jordan, from October 7 to 9, 2025. This prestigious event will bring together top global wedding professionals, showcasing Jordan’s growing reputation as a premier destination for luxury weddings.

A Prime Wedding Destination

Nayef Al-Fayez, Chief Commissioner of ASEZA, expressed his enthusiasm about hosting the event in Aqaba. “We are honored to welcome the DWP Congress to Jordan. This is a unique opportunity to highlight Aqaba’s stunning coastal beauty, rich cultural heritage, and exceptional hospitality, positioning it as a world-class wedding destination.”

The congress will feature over 400 participants from more than 70 countries, including luxury wedding planners, designers, photographers, and suppliers. The event is a leading B2B platform for the destination wedding industry, offering a perfect opportunity to explore Jordan’s wedding tourism potential.

Jordan’s Expanding Wedding Tourism Industry

The global wedding market, valued at $30.7 billion in 2023, is projected to reach $253.3 billion by 2032, reflecting the increasing popularity of destination weddings. Jordan is poised to capture a larger share of this growing market by offering unique wedding experiences, such as beachfront ceremonies along the Red Sea, romantic celebrations under the stars in Wadi Rum, historical settings in Petra, and serene events by the Dead Sea.

Abdelrazzak Arabiyat, Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board, emphasized the importance of the congress for Jordan’s wedding tourism sector, stating: “Hosting the DWP Congress underscores Jordan’s global significance in the wedding industry. Our country’s natural beauty and cultural richness make it a perfect setting for unforgettable weddings.”

Elevating Aqaba’s Global Profile

Hamza Haj Hasan, Deputy Chief Commissioner for Economic Development and Tourism at ASEZA, highlighted the significance of the event in elevating Aqaba’s standing in the global meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) industry. The opening of the Aqaba International Exhibition Center in September 2024 will further strengthen the city’s capacity to host large-scale events like the DWP Congress.

A Decade of Success in the Wedding Industry

The DWP Congress, organized by QNA International, has grown to become the world’s largest and most influential platform for the destination wedding industry. Akash Jain, General Manager of QNA International, expressed excitement about the 11th edition of the event, saying, “Aqaba is the perfect host for this landmark year of the DWP Congress. It will surpass expectations and offer global wedding professionals an opportunity to experience the grandeur of Jordanian weddings.”

Looking Forward

With its picturesque landscapes, luxurious accommodations, and world-class hospitality, Aqaba is set to be a prime wedding destination that will leave a lasting impression on attendees. The 11th Annual DWP Congress promises to elevate Jordan’s profile in the wedding industry and contribute to the country’s burgeoning tourism sector.
