Telluride, a premier mountain getaway nestled in the Colorado Rockies, holds the title of a National Historic Landmark District. Its rich past as a mining town enriches its cultural tapestry with festivals spanning film, jazz, and blues, alongside vibrant community gatherings. Poised above this quaint town, Six Senses Telluride will nestle within a box canyon, surrounded by the formidable San Juan Mountains and their 14,000-foot peaks. This location not only captivates with its scenic beauty but also offers seamless access to extensive skiing terrains in the winter and transforms into a blossoming natural haven in warmer months.

The forthcoming Six Senses resort, encompassing 77 keys and 24 exclusive residences, promises an integration of outdoor spectacle with elegantly sculpted interiors that mirror the grace of a snow-carved landscape. Awarded a LEED Silver certification, the resort embodies the Six Senses commitment to sustainability, marking a significant expansion of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury & Lifestyle collection into North America’s mountainous west.

Neil Jacobs, CEO, Six Senses, said, “Becoming an active part of the community is hugely important to us and so where better to begin our North American mountain adventure than Telluride, with the global sophistication of Mountain Village and eclectic old-world nature of the town below. Having lived in the Colorado Rockies in the 1980s, I can attest to the mountain environment lending itself to the expression of our values around wellness and sustainable development today.”

The development spearheaded by Matthew Shear and David Jaskel of The Vault Home Collection emphasizes a unique blend of wellness and outdoor luxury. The architectural design by Vault Design and interiors by Rose Ink Workshop emphasize natural, locally sourced materials, maintaining harmony with the historic aesthetics of Telluride.

Commenting on the partnership, Matthew said, “We are delighted to be joining forces with Six Senses. The spectacular Colorado landscape, sublime snow conditions, and quaint community-feel of Mountain Village inspired us to lay roots here. This project is the culmination of our ongoing collaboration with Six Senses to open this premier mountain destination to the world’s most discerning travelers and residents. Our shared vision is to ensure Six Senses Telluride is nothing short of spectacular.”

Residences, ranging from two to five bedrooms, are meticulously crafted to offer not just a living space but a place of retreat with amenities like gyms, cinemas, and lounges catering to all leisure needs. The resort’s amenities are designed to enhance each season’s offerings, from ski-in, ski-out convenience in winter facilitated by an expert ski concierge, to curated summer adventures by the Experiences Team.

Dining options at Six Senses Telluride will be as diverse as its landscape, featuring an Omakase-style restaurant, a unique rooftop pool venue, and a hidden speakeasy bar. A bustling retail and conference space will serve both guests and the local community.

Wellness at Six Senses goes beyond the physical, offering a spa equipped with modern and traditional recovery techniques, from cryotherapy to ancient healing practices, ensuring every visit rejuvenates both body and spirit. The employee-focused wellness extends into their living quarters, offering spaces that inspire creativity and well-being.

Six Senses Telluride, easily accessible by a scenic drive from Denver or a short hop from Montrose and Telluride airports, is set to redefine luxury mountain living in the U.S., complementing the Six Senses portfolio with other upcoming locations like Napa and the South Carolina Islands.
