My local airport, Bournemouth has made the top 6 in a recent ‘Which’ survey.
And is now finding itself ranked among the UK’s top six airports.
All by consumer champion ‘Which’. Thus now securing for the airport a coveted ‘Recommended Provider’ status for their overall customer experience.
With a customer score of 73%, Bournemouth. It was praised for its friendly staff, efficient check-in, smooth bag drop and swift security process.

Although, it stumbled in the class of range and quality of its shops and food outlets. Having been awarded with just one star!

Therefore, I asked a spokesman for the airport what is their response for this low one star rating. Although two other airports Leeds and Manchester Terminal 3 Airports also had a similar one star ratings in their shops and food class too.
He said: “We are significantly enhancing our food and drink offer as part of the airport’s ongoing multi-million pound transformation.
“This has included signing a 10-year partnership with global operator SSP Group. Who are providing significant investment to transform our café bar and bar restaurant to ensure passengers have greater choice and value.
“We are constantly reviewing how we can enhance the passenger experience. And since the Which survey have been trialling a pop-up bar this season in the departure lounge which allows passengers the opportunity to have a drink at their seat or outside.
